Starting Point - last week

So I thought I'd jump on the 'blogging' bandwagon and post my thoughts and concerns and questions about whatever comes to mind.

I think I'll start this blog with a catch-up on last week and take it from there -- I work from home when I can and this week I only had 2 days at home. I'm SO not complaining, but it's over an hour each way to work and Jersey has been getting deluged with rain, so it was pretty miserable going up there - I survived, but I did a lot of whining to myself about it all. I thought work was slowing, but instead, it picked up. This is a good thing as there have been many cut-backs this past 6 months and I keep waiting for the axe to come down. It's a horrible way to work. I actually like my job - yes, I know! It's TRUE! I do like what I do - a lot, so I'll be devastated if I become one of the statistics.
Aside from that, I promised my friend Sharon that I would go see her Doctor -- he does Applied Kinesiology and I've be curious about that since one of the teachers I worked with years ago SWORE by it. So, for whatever reason, I'm going to listen to his free lecture and see what it's all about. More about how it turns out in a future blog!
My old neighbor from Cherry Hill is coming up for a visit at the end of this week and I'm looking forward to seeing him again. I don't think his wife is coming this time and that's a shame because I would have loved to have seen her again too!
I go to a Stitch-N-Bitch group in Haddonfield on Tuesday nights and I simply have to get back there this week - I think I'm on withdrawl or something. It's a great group and we have a good time!
Lunch with an old co-worker who is coming to Princeton, a very serious deadline to meet and lots of other 'stuff' to do, but it will all be good! My boss is away and I can get a lot done when he's gone - not that I see him that often as he works in NYC but I think it will be a good week!
What else has happened this week? Hmmmm... my brothers birthday on June 21, I found out a friend is pregnant and due in December, like my youngest daughter, my oldest daughter spent time in the recording studio this week and I visited my mother today - she has Alzheimers and has been in a nursing home for about 7 years now.
I went shopping today and bought all kinds of fresh stuff to start a new diet - yet again. And I'll be writing about that too, most likely!
Well I'm off to bed so I can start my Monday early - I hope the sun comes out. My garen is flooded and my veggies are not doing well at all ...
Ahhhhh.....such is life!
